Weismans book gives the a brief snapshot about some of the older brooklyn pitchers but no candy cummings the guy who invented the curveball who pitched for brooklyn and was inducted into the hall of fame in 1939

The title of the book tells of the dodgers extraordinary pitching tradition but the book gives us nothing about what has lead up to it or brought it about

Doug rau got a moment in the sun i would have liked a full chapter and i expect he wrote one but it didn’t make the editors cut
