Pros

Top quality compass. Lightweight, full featured, and the brunton name. It feels sturdy and with brunton's guarentee i know i have nothing to worry about. Nice slim and protective case with easy to site bearing using mirror and onboard level.

The easiest thing to do is to take the compass apart to adjust the declination. It works quite well for its intended purpose (hiking, pathfinder) highly recommend for using as a slope meter in avalanche terrain.



Cons

Magnetic declination is too difficult to adjust to be useful. The rest of the design is desirable however it does not read correctly.

Numbers small and somewhat confusing. Also, only about 7. Not luminous. Some bright minds are still confused as to why.

    One major complaint regarding the outer ring it is not very tight so it can be easily rotated by accident a few times i thought i was looking at the right direction only realized that the ring setting has been knocked off so i was looking at the wrong direction
