Surface is cold and very smooth, still much better than plastic. No noticeable lag time even my sp7 connected to 3 other bluetooth devices. Battery last plenty long and usb-c charging is a plus.

While you can tap on it for most things, there are still spots in some software packages that don't respond to the touch click. Multi finger operations like select text are a chore.
