Steaming milk is easy it is a thermoblock type machine so you can either pull a shot or steam milk but being 1400 watts it takes like 1015 seconds to switch from espresso to steam

Programming the default time is quite easy be default if you press on hot water it dispenses hot water for 4 seconds which is like 3040ml not at all enough you can change it to anything you want by first pressing the button once to start water or espresso then press and hold the button the second time and dont let go until you reach your desired time then let go and it will stop and remember the time from then on

Dont put too much force in sealing the portafilter to the grouphead or you might break it
