Latest order is brown and smells of brown sugar. It's not the large clumps of brown shown by some reviewers, but spots on the colorless crystals themselves.

I have not noticed any offflavors or scents it has a barely detectable slightly sweet flavor when dissolved in a small amount of water and no scent so it seems to be processed well

Silicon dioxide quartz aka sand is an anticaking agent

As i have not found any sediment in my water glass i would believe there must not be very much silicon dioxide in it and it would have to be very fine
