Pros & Cons
Pros
excellent. very good. Fast shipping.
The case is very sturdy, protects the instrument extremely well and has ample space for the extra strings. It is a very durable case and i was glad to have it when i flew not to long ago.
The violin comes with a tiny amp and headphones. The amp has a nice big sound and its not too heavy. The sound in headphones and through the provided amplifier are superb.
It's not close to being acoustic violin, but it's not as dull and boring as you think. I tend to do most of my practicing either at home after my 1 year old is asleep or on the road in hotels at night.
Cons
The a string was snapped. The headphones were smashed and non-functional. The finish on the violin was done haphazardly. Very cheaply built violin.
Highlights
Quality
The quality of sound is simply fantastic and smooth.
She was amazed at the quality that it produced.
You can adjust the volume for the headphones so it gives the illusion of louder playing.
We hooked it up to a marshall guitar amp as soon as i got it and ran it through a mixing board.
Price
This is an amazing outfit for the price.
For the price, it's an impressive bargain: the instrument, case, amplifier, earphones, bow, shoulder rest.

So i came to the conclusion that if ever there was a scenario where plugging in directly and using a solid body instrument would make sense playing in a metal band was probably it

Im still experimenting with the effects mixes i like best to bring out my favorite tones but was pleasantly surprised to find that i actually like the natural tone of the edge both unplugged and plugged without effects more than the cheap acoustic violin i have been playing the last 10 years
