Pros

The violin is the perfect combo of traditional style and snazzy modern kick. Way nicer than the fender, and definitely lighter in weight. The case is fantastic and beautiful and roomy enough to keep everything you need.

The sound unplugged is a lot quieter than my acoustic yamaha. The violin comes with prelude strings and although i'm not fond of prelude strings on acoustic violins, they sound pretty good on this electric violin. It also has a headphone jack which ca... Read More

I had to return because with the electronics needed plus battery, it really led to a situation that was not comfortable or doable for me.

From its price point of view, this violin should be given more than 5 stars.

I wanted to learn violin but didn't want to be hindered by getting an inferior inexpensive instrument.

For the price, this is a steal.

Packaging/appearance

The violin was tuned and ready to play as soon as i unpacked it, and it was packaged very well.

I purchased the "natural" colored version and this a awesome looking instrument!

The care and attention to detail that kennedy violins used when setting up the violin and putting together the package was obvious.

Competitiveness

The bow is comparable to the bow that came with my yamaha in balance & weight.

It came with a mini amp which has a gurgling sound so i am buying a more expensive mini amp which i hope will have a better sound.
