They just feel like good quality in my amateur hands.
They are light, well made and have good pro-grade rubber.
The only wear i've noticed on these so far is a small chip in the wood of the blade from accidentally banging it on the end of the table.
These butterfly paddles are rubber backed on both sides.

For the price, these paddles are very good.

The carrying case that these come in are perfect for travel.
Competitiveness
Pads are much better than the ones you can buy in supermarkets for almost the same price and the included balls are very good.
Much better than the usual cheap racquets and much cheaper than most good racquets sold as singles.
The balls are quite nice too and noticeably better than some generic 3 star balls i picked up from another company.
I don't play professional so i can't compare to the professional models.

In this case thats exactly what im doing so that i dont accidentally hit it against the table and therefore peel the rubber off
