Regarding the leaking issue none of mine have ever leaked unless there is some liquid on the threads all the threads must be clean and dry before screwing on the cap or it will leak

Some models have buttons you press to drink from that can press by accident if you throw the cup in a purse or bag which has happened to me not fun but this one doesnt
