Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

You simply have more headroom with a staggered format. One main reason for that staggering is to accommodate thicker gauge wires. This is a testament to the ethernet cord that i got from cable matters.

Seagate ironwolf pro 16tb. Gbps is most likely its max speed. G bandwidth. Machines running supermicro server boards with onboard intel x540 nics. Connection works great, plan to update our whole network to 10gbps.

Cons

How is this even up to spec? Do not buy. Buyer beware. Look elsewhere or buy the stuff to run & terminate your own.

The nas reports that the top rate it can get is 10 mb/s, which is pathetic. The throughput seems fine, but the rj45 connector appears to be non-standard size.

The connector keeps slipping out of the ethernet port on my cablematters usb hub. It * because i have to tape it to the port, otherwise it slips out and i lose the connection. The cable works if it’s coiled up doesn’t if it's not.

To our home router via wifi we are never able to achieve bandwidth speeds anywhere close to the 1gbps that we were paying for even while standing immediately in front of the router so we decided to run this ethernet cable through the house for a wired connection

Then we ran the cable from the wiring cabinet upthrough a wall across the attic and downthrough another wall that is located in another area of the house

The 34electrical noise34 magnetic field or whatever it was those motors created when running would cause the uplink to fail with other cables
