The fit of these adapters into my laptop is a bit snug. Worked well with my device/laptop. I have a few microphones and other devices which connect to a docking station. I use these on my docks so the cable doesn't stick out.

Since these adapters are 40gbs rated my mac does not suffer a performance price

More importantly it is labeled 40 gbps clearly on the shell not like some of my unmarked usb c adapters

Im using this at my desk so that my elevated m1 macbook pro m3 sits up higher and doesnt have the cable just jut out

Only tested the pair by checking that macos successfully made a 40gbps connection to a thunderbolt hub

These are maybe 1mm longer than a generic variant that i have but are still sufficiently small

I have devices that has the usb cable sticking out the top or back so they either take up space or just look messy
