Pros & Cons

Pros

This cable is a good product, and it performs perfectly. This is a testament to the ethernet cord that i got from cable matters. See my pic.

You simply have more headroom with a staggered format -- one main reason for that is to accommodate thicker gauge wires of yore. The cable seems mostly good with the shielding on a relatively inexpensively priced cable. Benchmarked under windows 10 pr...  Read More

Cons

It makes re-termination all but impossible because there are 16 possible configurations. How is this even up to spec? Complete junk. Look elsewhere or buy the stuff to run & terminate your own.

My advise to potential buyers to please. Do not buy. Not with this cable.

Error rates are horrendous with this cable matters wire. The rj45 connector appears to be non-standard size. This cable slows throughput to less than 5e.

Quality

Is working well and seems to be good quality including pliability.

The connectors are good quality and the cable works exactly as expected.

Some of these negative reviews are really off base commenting on build components and manufacturing.

It would work ok for a while, then every hour or so it would disconnect.

Price

I had a 100' "cat 7" that was flat, it was pretty cheap on amazon.

The lowest price, but not low quality.

Shipping

Shipped to me very quickly as well.

Delivers, as promised, all the internet speed possible with my 1,000 gbps service, at&t router/modem and dell desktop.

Competitiveness

6gbps that it falls short is more than likely management / qos overhead as i was getting speeds out of these similar to the fib...  Read More

I have a 300mbps package, but for some reason philo was still crashing.

Shopping tip if you dont buy this cord make sure the one you get is cat 6a rather than 6 to take advantage of all the speed from todays broadband

I bought 3 of these cables in different lengths 50 75 and 100

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I plan on using the longer of these with an hdmi splitter might update how that works out later otherwise these cables appear to be decent

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

A short cat5e cable was used by the internet provider but i decided on a cat6a to futureproof my connection

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Weve been running a 20 year old cat 5e cable from our modem in our office to our wireless router more toward the center of our house

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

When we replaced our modem for higher speeds keeping the same router also rated for those higher speeds i was concerned because the wireless speeds were not close to what they should be and because i had to reboot the router in every so often because the internet would just cut out at the router
