The cable matters optical cable is very thick, thicker than i expected and it looks fantastic too. There was some nice flex in the cable even though it's so thick; it's really hard to describe.

Does what it claims to do, connects my tv to my dac. Works well with my samsung 65 inch and 1200 watt pioneer reciever.

Cons

This is about the 6th item i purchased and could not use. It intermittently cuts out - it doesn't lose connection - and you hear loud choppy static.

Competitiveness

I had tried with various other brand cables and had no luck getting dd+ to play without intermittent drop outs.

Dd+ is not officially supported over a toslink connection, but viewhd claims it should work with their converter using this cable.
