Range from the sensor to the remote you are using is very poor. Great disappointment. No force was used during installation.

Price
Installed this inexpensive repeater cable and voila.
It works great and was not expensive.
Good price fir a great little product.
I contemplated purchasing a much more expensive one but thought i would give this $ 13.
Packaging/appearance
Was able connect tv pvr box and have it hidden away.
Placed smaller end of this product on cable box, plugged usb into usb port on tv and placed larger end underneath tv.
Competitiveness
I tried another brand that was similar but it had to be positioned perfectly to work.

I found that if the ir remotes were not used from within a very narrow field infront of the cabinet they wouldnt work

Enter the cable matters infrared remote extender

The receiver sits on the cabinet and the ir repeater is taped to the inside of one of the smoked glass doors infront the cable box

Just 1 thin cable runs out the back of the cabinet to the receiver and that enters the cabinet with the other power cords
