Pros

Gold plated cable looks good and performs well. Some reviewers say the cable broke after a short while so time will tell.

Used to connect my macbook to my television to stream movies and the like. The computer end is narrow enough that a normal usb connector fits easily next to it on both a macbook pro and macbook air.

Cons

Started with flickering video, then progressed to drop-out video signal lines. Then, it refuses to connect to my laptop with the external monitor. Stopped working after 3 month. One more month of jiggling before ending in the trash.

No amount of wiggling or readjusting regains the signal. This cord has such shoddy workmanship and materials. It was not subjected to any unusual strain, just plugging in and removing it a few dozen times.
