Pros & Cons
Pros
The punch town is very, very good - very easy access and not trying to sneak a punch tool into a weird angle. Holds cat6a easily and spaces it out enough to access and punch down withoit straining to see whats what. Cable * are the best touch because ... Read More
Good quality. Still great and still humming along. Heavy duty, shipped on time.
Used this to setup my home cat6a network. Use the krone blade when punching down the ethernet cable. Hardware rules for non-mobile devices and will continue to do so for a long time.
Overall build quality instills confidence. Looks nice and very sturdy. Well thought out design. Needless to say, it's well built.
The cable matters 24 port cat6a arrived on time, well packaged and undamaged. The patch panel is very compact, has labels and covers for unused ports.
Highlights
Quality
Easy to install and keeps everything tidy
Construction of the patch panel is very robust and well thought out.
The unused terminals in the front have little plastic covers on them that keep dust out.
Installation: after stripping your cable, and taping the ground back around the jacket unscrew the bar which holds each pair of cables.
Price
If you need an affordable wallmount i would recommend this one.
I only have cat 6 wiring so could have bought the cheaper wallmount from cable matters but i'm very happy i spent the few extra dollars.
I had purchase the non shielded version and wish i spent a few more bucks on this one at first.
Shipping
The cable matters 24 port cat6a arrived on time, well packaged and undamaged.
Packaging/appearance
My only complaint is bent metal ends at the 19" rack mounting holes caused by poor packaging, no fault of the patch panel.
Like the fact that it is enclosed.
