Pros & Cons

Pros

While i don't get as many ports and not as clean of a layout, this one actually works. It provides the convenience and features you actually need at a price point far below the docks that run from $100-300. Great little gadget at a great price.

The usb ports work well for connecting keyboard and mouse. Power 60watts, usb keyboard and mouse. The 2 usb 2. Port provides 2x usb2.

It has 100 mbps ethernet, 2 usb 2. Ports, and gigabit ethernet, and power delivery (thunderbolt 3 port compatible) in white. The one complaint is that the rj-45(ethernet port) is the legacy 100mb spec. It constantly gives me close to a gig internet sp...  Read More

Work perfectly for rmb (12 in macbook; 2017 i7). Both seem to work pretty well with the mbp via bluetooth. You need to go to the support on the cable matters, and it links to a realtek page where u can download the driver for windows, macs and unix.

Cons

The product is very lightweight, which i suppose is a plus and a minus. However, it is advertised as fast ethernet. It seems that 4k 60hz video output took almost all the bandwidth.

The battery drains as if it wasn't connected to power at all. Only solution is to do a full restart of the laptop.

Highlights

Quality

It definitely works, and seems pretty quality.

Was able to plug in ethernet, several usb devices, and an external gsync monitor and it shockingly still worked at 144hz.

The first one lasted 3 years before the flexible part of the cord stopped working unless held in a very specific place.

Once the monitor is detected and turns on, it works fine until the next time the hub is unplugged (it does not randomly disconnect).

Price

It certainly worth the value for your money.

This adapter works perfectly for my needs and at a decent price.

Competitiveness

I have never had any device or speed issues and this aftermarket item has been more reliable than the dell dock that came with my pc.

I bought at the time because it was the best for what i needed (a way to switch from desktop to laptop without a kvm switch).
