You cant even force quit out of the apps or remove the devices from the system using the ui

The power drain from a cell phone charging and a external drive spinning may also be an issue

Another similar problem appeared when i plugged in my wireless adapter for my ms sculpt mouse into the hub

The cursor skips around the screen a lot and can really aggravate you

My solution was to plug the ms mouse into a different usb port on my powerbook instead of use the hub and when i synch my phone i have to remove the wireless adapter and use that same port for my iphone since both dont work well with the hub
