The cable is thick and sturdy, seems well-shielded. No intermittent disconnections or other issues.

Size is great not to clutter my desk and it fits in the my laptop accessory pouch. Fits directly into a macbook or any laptop that has only usb c ports. Pretty handy adapter when there are no available usb 2.

Cable allows you to read and write data at speeds of up to 140mb/s. Backups occur twice as fast as usb 3. The cable is attached to an elements 2620 4tb drive. You can use the cable to backup your device.

Cons

Despite appearances of quality (gold plating, cable width of 4. Mm) i am not ready to use this cable again as it had huge connecting issues and chances of ruining my hdd. Don't waste your money on this product. Returned to amazon for refund.
