For me a better value for your money is calphalon classic nonstick dutch oven with cover 7 quart grey because youre not paying for an insert thats nigh useless

I wanted the pot to come back to the boil quickly and even then it was for like 30 seconds or so

It may just be my own subjective opinion but i feel like the texture of the inside of the pot lends itself to my wellused wooden spoon or my heat proof silicon stirring utensils but ever time ive used a plastic slotted spoon or something it just doesnt feel as comfortable

The stainless basket rises 3 above the outside of the pot which is fine for steaming but not pasta which will spill if overfilled

Also unlike some other calphalon pots you must handwash this pot cant go in the dishwasher
