However the presence of the spout means that the lid doesnt seal the pot properly since steam is free to escape through the spout

The pour spot is so much easier for draining pastas etc than my old dutch oven which would inevitable spill all over and spill over the side of the pot

We don’t use the calphalon 5quart dutch oven as much as we thought we would because it is too small for big jobs and too big for small jobs
