Replaced a lesser quality non-stick pan with this one a few weeks ago.
I also noticed this with the calphalon 3.
I'm sure that speaks to the quality, it's hard for me to manipulate.
The only challenge for me is how heavy it is with the glass top on.

Also the cover no matter how well i dry it leaks water later into the pan while at rest in storage

I suppose i loved the first one more the bottom was thicker and the sides went straight up rather than curving first
