Pros
The coating isn't just nonstick, it is non-scratch too. The finish allows for easier cleanup. Washes up like a charm.
The handles are small for this size of the pan, which was strange to me, but i didn't have any issues lifting the pan out of the oven. The pan is also very strong and sturdy.
This is cookware that is going to last forever.

It is generously sized. But it isn't super tall. Excellent size, shape, construction (versatile uses). Really big and sturdy.
Cons
The handles are miniscule. Less than three inches across on something designed to roast entire turkeys or roasts. Sold as “dishwasher safe’ so it was washed in dishwasher but metal utensils were never used.

I like the new design and it feels sturdy and well-built.
The sauce pan is sturdy, appropriately heavy.
It's supposed to be the top of the line, but after using it twice and once in the dishwasher, it's filled with scratch marks.
All those drippings that burn onto the pan just slid right off and into the trash.

Would i pay the current price of around $175.
It may be expensive but i think it’s worth it if you enjoy cooking.

Update one months later:i just purchased the 5 and 6 quart stockpots to add to my collection and will be adding more.
Packaging/appearance
The calphalon arrived well packed in a nice package.
Unpacking the roaster you are immediately impressed by how well-made and attractive the roaster looks.
Ohter than that it looks brand new like i haven't even used it yet.

This is our workhorse pot tahdig rice pasta eggs and much more so we did not like the downsizing

After almost 20 years my last calphalon dutch oven finally started to get too scratched up on the bottom to justify keeping it around
