Pros

It is as wide but not as tall as 3-4 qt saucepans. This pan also goes into the oven so i can finish off whatever i am cooking. Lid is flat and stores better than my domed ones.

White spots are a function of the hardness of the water (mineral content) and the detergent used. The calphalon pot heats just as evenly and retains heat as a all-clad d3.

Cons

Out of the box the pan is not flat. This is cut from their warranty department-the cost of returning the product to calphalon is up to the customer. I am so annoyed about this and the fact that it boasts that it’s metal utensil safe is garbage.
