Pros

Calphalon pan heats well and distributes heat very evenly. Goes from stove top to oven is great. New to this size is the addition of spouts. The pour spout also allows you to drain pasta directly from the pot.

It’s versatile and very useful. The lid fits really well and cleans up easy. Worth every penny to upgrade to calaphon.

Cons

Pot and lid handles are metal. Way over priced. Water leaking out of one of the screws on the handle.

The inner lip of the lid has holes to strain without needing to pour contents into a colander.

It's neither heavy nor light and flimsy.

Price

I got a great price on this type of pot that also has a drain feature in the top.

Not a big deal, the benefit is that you can place the whole pot in the oven.

Packaging/appearance

I paid a bit more from this seller but this one actually came in a calphalon box, completely flawless and the correct, 5qt size.

The first one i'd received from a different seller was not only a 3qt advertised as a 5qt but had a dented lid.

No box, just a plastic bag with a tj maxx sticker on it with "5qt" written on it.
