Paid $30 for the very first use to be ruined and grow bacteria. Super super lame. You will be disappointed.

The calphalon contemporary nonstick 3qt sauté pan that i have is also not the best. It's a durable lid but, the lip on my 12 pan is thick. I'll be contacting the company for a replacement.

The metal handle is riveted directly to glass without resilient bushings. This creates a void that collects food splash liquid. The lid traps grease and water in this little gap between the glass and the steel rim.

Water constantly in the rim and looks grimy. Lip on the top prevents the water from draining when inverted.

I ordered this to complete my set of calphalon cookware and am very happy with the quality and look of this lid.

This replacement lid is different from the ones included with the original set.

I had assumed that with calphalon quality and prices the metal-to-glass would be water tight, but alas, no.

Very happy with it - until i found below.
