This one seems studier and it works great. It holds up to the dishwasher well.
Cons
The sharpness of this apple slicer is marginal from day-one. Given how much other users like it, i wonder if mine is defective. The center circle is especially dull. It seems like a waste, and yet i get annoyed every time i use it.
The blades protrude from the bottom and are serrated & razor sharp. When slicing, small bits of apple pieces seem to get stuck a bit more easily than with the old one. However, it is 3-6 months old and has rust on every blade.
The slicer stops half-inch from the bottom. My son cut himself because he was pushing down at the limit of his strength and the slicer slipped. Having used it twice, i will return to using a knife.
Too many apples are larger than the circumference of this slicer. Buyer beware.

I admit i never saw the purpose in buying an apple slicer before

Its a bit of a pain to wash i usually just rinse in soapy water right after use

I have another apple slicer that broke in the middle when i try to slice an big apple the middle popped out and broke just like that

I always rinse the slicer as soon as im done cutting that way nothing would stick to the blade
