Pros
I intend to replace all of my cookware with calphalon signature. This is all we could want in a dutch oven.
The calphalon signature 5-quart pot is perfect for my husband and me. The lid also fits my calphalon frying pan. This pot is slightly smaller than the old one but has a really good nonstick surface.
Cooked perfectly and cleaned up without soaking with soapy water and microfiber. Cleaning is a snap.
It's light, so it does slide around on the burner. I cook on a gas range, not a flat-burnered stove, and it still happens.
Cons
The lid, after washing and thorough shaking and drying, very gradually leaks about two tablespoons of water into the pan. Given the outer rim of the lid is metal, this poses potential long-term rust and sanitation issues.

I purchased several pieces when they first became available on amazon, and they’ve held up very very well over the 2-2.
That extends the life of the non-stick surface.
The lower-end calphalon products showed signs of wear within 6 months of usage with nylon utensils.
Stirring without a hand on it isn't likely to work well.
Price
I didn't like the price so much but, i like the way food doesn't seem to stick to it like my older pots do.
Competitiveness
The signature line is so much better than the other calphalon products.
Company sold to newell a while back, who moved manufacturingto china to increase profit.
The signature pans are about the same as the williams sanoma calphalon elite, top of the line.

The metal handle on the lid gets hot so pad is a must

Even though these are “metalsafe” i only use nylon utensils with them

However i do put them in the dishwasher after every use and have used them with no problems in the ovem at high temperatures
