Pros

This starter is economical, new, fit perfectly and works great. A little different than the original for my craftsman 42 deck. Direct replacement for the starter on my sabre 1538hs.

Received as stated, quick shipping and good price. Quicker then expected shipping. Got it earlier than promised. Good product for the price.

Works perfectly and cranked after more than 15 startups. This can be done by just removing the engine cover and then 1 nut and 2 bolts. Also make sure to get the solenoid also.

Cons

Turned over about 10 times and then just stopped. Decided to take it apart and realized the magnets were broken. Started to break all around the inside. Seems to be a heat related solenoid issue.

The 2 bolts are almost impossible to reach without pulling the flywheel unless you have a stout star drive that fits the bolt.

So i figured for the thirty something dollars i paid i couldn't go wrong.
