Pros

It heats up the canner in just a few minutes. The side shelf comes in handy when i am canning and cooking! It heats the water up perfectly when i place my water boil canning pot on it!

One downfall is this single burner doesn't come with the metal sides the two burner does. Wanted something for quicker setups. Easy to set up and use.

Cranks btus out of a standar 20# cylinder and has volume control. Adjustable flame knob goes from a simple simmer to full out turbo flame. I turned the gas tank on, as gas started to release, i ignite the burner with a torch.

First impressions. Particularly for a portable burner. If it wasn't for our wanting one for the camper i’d buy a two burner again as it’s mkre bang for your buck!

Cons

There was a very slight breeze through our campsite. The venturi area is not designed to have a flame, and if allowed to burn there, could melt the rubber propane hose.

Quality

The quality of the stove is excellent and so easy to set up.

I have used it once for frying once in the medium setting and it did the job like a charm, very happy and satisfied with this product.

I already own the 2-burner version of this, so i knew what i was getting with this product.

Even on hi, it was weak because it couldn't mix the intake air with the propane in a controlled way.

Shipping

Paint fades very fast though, and does rust fast if you leave it out uncovered.

Competitiveness

Bought this and a reversable grill thingy to replace a regular grill.

I can also use this camp chef in the backyard.

It's a pity it's made in china rather than the usa.

The stove and 15lb tank are probably too big for car camping and obviously too heavy for backpacking i mention that because i also have backpacking stoves

Smaller lightweight stoves dont have the durability or the speed to cook a larger volume of food for three or four people

Although the suitcase stoves would pack smaller in a vehicle i had one before and found it wimpy

If you dont need it to be portable a 2 or 3 burner unit might be better
