Pros

Do that & it is perfect for campfire cooking! Came fully seasoned and for my first use baked a pineapple upside down cake. It cooks beautifully and cleans up easily.

The casting is nice & i like that they cast a notch into the rim of the pot. The 10 is a great size for portability, but also good to feed a lot of people.

If you are not status brand conscious, camp chef is a big winner, imho.

Quality is very good and comparable to lodge but significantly less expensive.

The dutch oven first and that will really help with the cleaning.

My problem is with the lids not fitting well.

In use it really isn't a problem, just a noticeable quality difference when using along side a lodge.

Price

The price was way better than other places by nearly 25%.

It works just about as well, and the price difference certainly works for me.

I'm afraid my discovery of the camp chef cast iron line is going to cost me.

Metal is heavy duty and shipping was pretty dam quick.

In time and use, it will be but not out of the box.

These are attractive pieces and priced very well compared to their competitors.

I do have a bunch of lodge pans and a 12-inch camp dutch oven already along with a couple of dutch ovens for the kitchen.

Needs to be reseasoned with a higher temp oil.

I really wanted a 10-inch dutch oven, but couldn't afford the lodge pricing.
