If it dont mount to your smoker buy it any way i bet you will find a way to make it work

Even with drilling holes in the smoker this camp chef sear box does not directly fit a traeger smoker because the vent smoke stack is in the way of opening the sear box lid

The camp chef stack is in the back of the smoker while the traeger stack is on the side where the sear box goes

The back 3 holes of the box go through the bracket holes and through new holes in the smoker

It does say in the instruction manual that a more blue flame is best though there isnt any way to adjust it other than lowmidhigh

I wanted to judge how necessary the sear box really was even though that was the main reason i purchased a camp chef

Easy enough for one person to do as it’s pretty much an empty unit on installation
