After two years, i finally cleaned out the ash tray today and it wasn't even half full - so it burns the pellets very well.
Without a cover, water gets into the grill, then into the screw where it will get the pellets wet and it will get clogged.
Price
This pellet grill is inexpensive and works great.
For the money, it just can't be beat.
The fitted cover is a bit more expensive, but looks nicer.
Competitiveness
These are so much easier and better would not consider any other brand.
I bought this because it was much cheaper compared to other brands and i also liked the easy ash cleanout.
It lacks some of the features of the more expensive models but i don't need them and they are more things to go wrong.
No other brand i know has the ash clean out and without it my old unit was just a pain.
