Pros

Great starter kit for the raspberry pi 2 b. It has great functionality. The raspberry pi has a well supported user base with lots of guides and forums. Oh my goodness does it have apps and youtube.

This is a great startup kit which parts allow for many cool projects. It simplifies construction of projects, and gets you going faster. I even have this opensprinkler project controlling lights inside and outside the house.

Cons

I would not buy from them- there are several other options available for purchasing raspberry pi units. Even the basic kit is very expensive, either they are charging extra for the pi itself or their 5v adapter costs $20+ which is ridiculous. Also, on... Read More

Son wrecked the thing by unplugging it without shutting it down one time. It pops right back out.

If you like programming, buy this product.

There are a couple of things i wished came along (would have definitely been ready to pay more along with the price of this).

This kit was amazing, everything is what they said it was, and it cost a little less than what the components cost individually.

Now that the raspberry pi 3 version of this kit is out, i hope the price will go down for these older rpi2-based kits for folks... Read More

Competitiveness

The pi runs fine off it's included power supply, or off a 2amp battery pack.

I think this is the perfect set for a first-time user.

The raspberry pi is woefully underpowered compared to a hand-me-down iphone.

Breadboard was smaller than i thought it would be, no bigger than the pi itself, but the breakout connecter fits into it well.
