Pros

This is the first version of the pi that is fast enough to use for real browsing. Works great with several linux arm distros and looks great on my two 34 lg monitors. Preloaded pi os on a 128g microsd card was nice. It also runs kali linux as well.

Case is well made and separates into 3 segments allowing frustration free board and fan install and heatsink thermal pad protective films with long tab provided easy grip to remove. High gloss case is a scratch and finger print magnet. Only issue is t... Read More

For most people, these kits will be the best bang for the buck. The quality is descent and everything is included. They are quick to ship and all parts nicely packed and nothing is missing.

Canakit is a time saver and worth considering. But can keep up with the rest of them.

If you're in to tinkering, this is the place to start. It's by far not my first rpi but canakit always delivers a great experience. I have one running home assistant and it works perfectly.

At the 30-day mark, the ethernet status and activity lights (green/yellow) stopped working.

The case just snaps together loosely and keeps falling open.

Is is one of the few complete kits at a decent price.

Plan on spending an additional $18 - $25 for a decent case.

You'll need to upgrade it but you can find good replacement for under $20.

I tried different ethernet cables, different ports on the switch and even on the router and a different power supply.

The pi 5 power connection to the touch screen monitor is the same as the pi 4 connection in the monitor instructions.
