Pros

Works well, no disconnects and reliable connection. This adapter was immediately recognized by the latest version of raspbian. I'm unsure if the pre-n designation causes any trouble, since i am only using it for a g network.

By just using the gui interface, i was able to configure it. Plug and play, no fuss no muss. No extra drivers needed for the raspberry pi. Works in windows 7 & 10 without the need for drivers.

Cons

Device no longer recognized by my computer as a wireless adapter. Speeds are weaker than expected for an 802. Do not purchase. Os, the wifi keeps dropping on then off.

Tuya-convert worked perfectly on the ubuntu vm with the dongle .

I bought this to go with my linux tablet because of issues with the onboard wifi driver.

I was somewhat disappointed with the wifi of my raspberry pi 3 while using it as an access point.

I didn't realize that this adapter does not support the latest wifi standards and so does not work with the faster 5ghz wifi band.

Price

Don't try messing around with shady copies that advertise a price that's a dollar cheaper.

I then purchased this one, and it worked right out of the box!

Definitely a few steps up from the built in wireless, and well worth the cost.
