Pros & Cons
Pros
The touchscreen menu is great and i actually prefer the flip up screen to the flip out. The touch screen makes the menu and options simple to navigate. Easy to navigate in tons of customization options.
The included electronic eye-piece view finder is pretty interesting. It is fast and responsive so i don't miss the ttl viewfinder as much. You can flip the screen up for vlog style shooting.
The grip is very comfortable and the texture of the covering for the body is nice. Thanks to its mirror-less design, it is incredibly compact and easy to travel with.
Charging the battery requires you to pull it out of the camera and mount it into the included wall charger. Have ordered a second battery. Then from your phone to google drive, then google drive to your computer.
Cons
The view finder is not included. It's very inconsistent depending on focal length. The zooming in isn't showing details with clarity.
Highlights
Quality
This doesn't take away from the quality either.
I like the feel of it in hand and i’m really pleased with the images.
Canon is no longer making new ef-m lenses for the camera, so this is an end of line product.
Occasionally i use the rear display for focusing on a particular spot, but generally i turn it off with the switch on the evf.
Price
I also recommend getting 43mm to 58mm step up rings and the freewell 58mm variable nd filters.
Shipping
It is fast and responsive so i don't miss the ttl viewfinder as much.
Last it is fast to start up and shoot, and the controls are sensible.
Packaging/appearance
Original packaging, original accessories and beautiful pictures.
Competitiveness
My wife has a mirrorless canon r series and she loves it.
I was particularly interested to see how canons color looked compared to my current other camera, a sony a7iii.
I already had a nikon dslr (d7100).
