Highlights
Quality
Excellent quality, speed, functionality and feature set that no one should be without.
It's fast, great quality, and i love the plug and play aspect of it.

Price
I am totally amazed at how great it is for the price.
All in all, this is a handy home office scanner that should wrangle reams of paper with ease at a low price point.
You can scan years worth of your tax returns, along with all supporting documentation, in no time at all.
It's a little pricey, but in my opinion you get what you pay for.
Shipping
We were often struggling to get copies of all of our documents digitized in a timely manner.
Packaging/appearance
Everything you need to get started is in the box: ac adapter, usb cable, canon r30 set up guide.
Furthermore, the packing is cardboard rather than some sort of foam or thin-film plastic pillows, therefore much easier to recycle.
It is very easy to unpack the scanner and remove it from the box.
Competitiveness
As usual, canon has a superior product that is easy to fit into a home office.
I think at this price point, and coming from a name brand like canon, you're getting a lot of value for the money.
That is where this canon model is different.
But, it does take longer to scan than the default 200dpi.

I ended up pushing the tray in and not using it and then sliding the scanner to the edge of the table so the item could come straight out
