Pros
The quality of the prints are crisp and vivid. Installation is a breeze, image quality is good, and i can print either from my desktop, or from my ipad while in another part of the building. Rapport qualité prix excellent.
The ink bottle refill method is hassle free compared to years ago. It's unbelievable the amount of extra black ink they provided. Scanning, it's got a really nice quality flatbed scanner.
Cons
Printer often goes offline, i have to walk across the house and turn it on before i can start printing. Output tray impedes loading more paper. It does not copy double-sided print material.
This printer meets the reasonable ink cost objective but that is all. The actual printing is really, really slow, even compared with hp and epson ink-jet printers of 20 years ago.
Even using imaging or graphics software settings render a bright deeply coloured image in the printer preview, but the result is still washed out. The printer's display panel is a 2-line lcd display with no back lighting and becomes very tough to read... Read More
Wi-fi connection set-up is hopeless. Does not even have a usb port. There is no pdf that you download and refer to with your portable device.

Arrived on time, as advertised, and was easy to set up and link to all my electronics.
The printer arrived around noon and i was printing by 2 pm.
I ordered this printer and it arrived within 3 days !
It was delivered the next day, and i really like the product.
Packaging/appearance
It had a beautifully lit pop up non-touch colour screen.
Competitiveness
I have tried other brands but canon are the best.
I needed to replace another brand that could not keep up with my business needs.

I do a lot of color printing and after several thousand pages it is still printing quality color
