Cons
The cannon 492 is the slowest printer i have ever used. I see cannon has went back to the scam ink cartridge where all the colours are in one cartridge.
Never registers that there is paper available. When it does it * up the whole pile and jams. It eats the paper, gets jammed, and there's no reliable method to keepthis from happening.
The printer is so difficult to set up. Difficult and counter-intuitive installation. Just about impossible to setup. Wifi always a problem.
It's just way too aggravating, to have to almost constantly uninstall and reinstall it. Software is poor. The display is a tiny lcd that has no backlight. If this can be returned for a new sleeker updated version.

Only been using it for a couple weeks but i'm impressed with the quality of prints it produces.
Therefore bought this one and so gar am very pleased with it.
00 for and returned them with the printer .
It was a bit difficult to connect with the wifi connection.
Competitiveness
We made a switch from a competitor, and are very happy with decision.
It has a farily long warm up routine, just like my last hp printer, which i don't love, but seems to be the way these things work.

I had to buy an extra usb cord to plug it in to my laptop but thats only cause i have an older laptop and it doesnt have bluetooth on it

For some reason could be due to the installer me it was soooo difficult to link i was going back and fourth on directions for a day

Need to recalibrate things a bit for the ink to work properly after months of idleness

Scanner is slow i wouldnt want to scan more than a few pages on it

Print speed is about the same maybe faster by a couple seconds in terms of pages a minute
