Pros
Easy to set up and get going it prints clear and quickly, ink is a little pricey but you can find ink for cheap online. Comes with auto-feeder for scanning and it works on single sided paper.
The side lid flips up for easy operation. The smartphone is also easy setup. Easy to set up and works like a charm.
Cons
It blows through ink like crazy. Canon app says my printer is online, my computer sees the printer online but on the canon cloud it says i am offline. Tried using a wire and 9 times out of 10, i get an error message that it cannot locate the printer.

I don't try high quality photo printing on it but everything else is amazing.

The nice thing about this printer is you can buy the ink on amazon fairly inexpensive.
Reasonable price and also very reasonable price for the ink cartridges that are usually expensive.

Removed printer from packaging and within 10 minutes had it printing.
Competitiveness
I used a canon printer for many years, but decided to get a brother printer because the ink seemed cheaper.
