Pros & Cons
Pros
It performs as well as any camera i've worked with (photographic quality) everything about this camera is simply amazing. My favorite camera before this canon is my nikon l820 cool-pix released in february of 2013.
The touchscreen is amazing. The touchscreen menu is great and i actually prefer the flip up screen to the flip out. Easy to use dials for manual control, amazing touch screen, and of course the canon colors in the photos and videos.
It's extremely compact as you march through the bolivian rainforest searching for medicinal plants. The slowness allows it to be compact. The pros include the size and weight.
Megapixel cmos (aps-c) sensor. Some say canon is pixel binning, but i am not qualified to speak on it.
Cons
The 15-45mm lens has way too many limitations. It's very inconsistent depending on focal length. Canon wants us to spend the really big bucks and buy those ugly big rf lenses because that's where they make profits.
Highlights
Quality
The camera is good and quality is worth the price.
I am very impressed with the performance of the camera.
Image quality is decent during the day, but at night, you'll probably going to manually override the settings to get the best quality.
While the picture quality is pretty good for the camera size and price rage, the video quality doesn’t rate as highly.
Price
I also recommend getting 43mm to 58mm step up rings and the freewell 58mm variable nd filters.
Viltrox is reportedly about to release three more, all f/1.
No weather-sealing: i wish it was weather-sealed, but this given the price point i don't expect this advanced feature.
Shipping
Last it is fast to start up and shoot, and the controls are sensible.
It is fast and responsive so i don't miss the ttl viewfinder as much.
Packaging/appearance
Original packaging, original accessories and beautiful pictures.
I like that you do not have to use the touch screens deep into the menus to set things.
It also has lock on the left bottom, so once you put it in the hotshoe, it won't come off until you unlatch it.
Not having an audio output is like not being able to preview your pictures on the screen.
Competitiveness
The 6 mark ii includes the dual dial interface from the m5 and has a brand-new [aps-c] sensor that provides a larger amount of resolution.
The sweet spot for crop-frame sensors with low noise is in the 20-24 mp range, for all canon's competitors.
Battery life, third-party batteriesthe battery life spec, 305 shots, isn't even close, common for this kind of camera.
The sensor scan rate is slower than for the 30fps cropped mode, so rolling shutter may be more of a problem.
