Luckily i discovered by accident that the "yuntop" one-inch collars actually grip this dreaded threaded bar.
Their powder coated bars seem to be much better quality and the added rubber rings keep the plates from being too noisy.

All in all great for the price.
For the price, you can’t beat it.

I didn’t receive the collars in my shipment.

However it was missing the star collar locks not sure if they just weren't in the package or if they fell out.
Competitiveness
I have had other curl bars with the classic “w” style but this by far is better.
It also seems like this bar holds the plates in place better than their cheaper ones that don't have the rubber rings.
The super e-curl bar is a much steeper camber than the usual popular ez-curl bar.
