Pros

The dumbbell bars and threaded, star-shaped end nuts are nicely made. They tighten securely and stay firmly in place when in use.

Dumbbells have a nice texture and are sturdy. The chrome coating seems thick and durable.

Cons

Firstly, the dumbells are not quite 40lbs. You are stuck at 60(ish) lbs max. The bars themselves are not 1 - they are slightly smaller.

These are not bad for a budget option but i would highly recommend getting a more premium adjustable dumbbell. Would not recommend purchasing. Do not buy.

These dumbells are non-standard and as a result they are cumbersome and a bit annoying to use. I constantly have issues with the nut used to tighten the weight plates onto the handle. Lastly, the screw caps that hold the plates together get loose cons... Read More

Basically whatever this coating is it's already coming off before you assemble it.

Best value for weight i could find anywhere.

I did get these on sale, and i don't recall the price i paid.

Ultimately however, for the price when these are on sale, they are a good buy.

Just thought i was getting more plates for the price.

You might upset the delivery person having to carry this.

I saw other reviews describing poor packaging, but that was not my experience.
