I've purchased several of these and they all had the same irritating odor.

Product was in good shape but packaging destroyed and product falling out when i discovered on my door step.

It will take weeks or months to remove the odor from the coating they put on the rubber.

Got 2 new 20lbs a few days ago, some rubber smell soon.

I bought a 40lb, rubber smell went away within a few days.

It's a dumbell, it weighs what it should, and it's sufficient for working out.
