Pros

Overall, these are quality bars and i would recommend them with the following caveats. I like this a lot more than my weiders which were almost double the price. I can’t knock them down for that, they are what they are.

The threads are well-made and securely hold the weights in place. The only issue is you can fit only 3, 10 pound plates on either side with a clamp. The threaded caps work well and don't move around.

The craftsmanship is excellent. The locks spin very well. There are rubber gaskets to help keep it quieter.

Cons

The grip is only 3. Mm. It doesn't matter how hard you tighten the nuts on the end of the bars that secure the weights -- they always come loose. And when you tighten them, they're on there all diagonal and wonky.

Not as advertised, very disappointed. The cost of the item is not worth the hassle of returning. Thankfully the return process is easy.

Price

These are exactly what i was looking for at a low price.

These black ones were on sale and i could not resist a pair for $11.

Guessing they got cheap copies and not real cap ones.

At the price i paid (~$18) these were an absolute bargain.

Shipping

I am disappointed that it was not shipped with other order and the delay but its want i wanted and can't wait to use

Packaging/appearance

A separate plate set i ordered came with non-threaded barbell handles.

Box came in torn but item was fine.

Competitiveness

Ultimately, i choose the cap smooth dumbbells because they were less expensive than the other nearly identical product.
