I am a total newbie as far as weight lifting goes. It's a best seller for a reason. Saves on the pocket book.

The matte black finish makes the bar look legit af. The knurling is perfect for throwing around some serious weight without losing grip on a slick bar. The grip is a little rougher than i like.

The bar is supposedly rated for 700 pounds. It doesn't actually provide enough resistance to make an impact on plates sliding off while lifting, so you still need collars.

Have had up to a little over 400lbs on it deadlifting, this bar didn't even break a sweat.
