Pros & Cons
Pros
If you want a decent hex bar, this gets the job done. Some angles that are supposed to be 90 degrees are not at 90 degrees (at least on one side), but it's not a deal-breaker but for the price point, it works. The welds are fine and the finish is what... Read More
It's sturdy, seems well made. The ends for plate loading are not as long so if you are only using bumper plates you might only get 500 lbs depending on the thickness of your bumpers but you can get closer to 700ish total (using thinner 45lb plates) wi... Read More
The knurling isn't that rough. The handles are a bit thicker so it really works your grip. I tell them their hands will toughen up just like they will and to keep using it haha.
Cons
The bar itself is unusable. Arrived with scuffs and scraps everywhere, shipping package very poor.
One of the handles on the hex bar is canted inward. The knurling is also uneven and it looks like a rushed and slapdash job. Looks like a 10 year old welded the joints.
This bar is unsafe for heavy weigh and will cause muscle imbalances and possible shoulder impingement. This compromises your form, and adds risk for injury. It's hard to believe the amount of good reviews this bar got, i may have just got a random def... Read More
Highlights
Quality
Check out some of the workouts i do with the hex bar!
Edit: i’ve added a picture with the cap grip plates on there, 6 on each side and room for another.
Advice is to go with the zink as the chrome and black options will chip and get scratched.
Price
For the price i got it for, i would highly recommend it.
The price was right on this so i picked it up.
It’s not amazing but is right for the price.
Shipping
Very nice bar - well balanced, excellent construction, quick shipping.
Like few others wrote, it was a bit banged up from shipping, but i did not care.
Came a little banged up from shipping but who gives a damn.
Packaging/appearance
The packaging (seen in the pic) and the bar itself.
Competitiveness
I purchased this to take to a black iron gym to help me with a competition.
I use the cap grip weights that are pretty skinny, i’ve had 6 45lb plates and a 25lb plate on each side.
Hit a 635 pr deadlift with it and it took it like a champ.
If you’re looking for a hex for deadlifts, buy it.

The welds look like a child did them which leads me to question the sturdiness hence the 3 star rating for that category
