The holder is great holds my phone vertical for calls horizontal for gps is small doesnt block the ac and the phone stays put

If you have to put the metal disc inside your case it does not hold as well also if the case is thick like an otter box it can fall off on a big bump

Will work with the plate on the inside just not as strong of a magnetic force

I hate driving down the road and having the phone tossed out of those mounts that stick in the vents or have a suction cup that doesnt stick on the dash
