Reason being is the smaller noneck mount couldnt clear the airvent protrusion above my cd player slot making it impossible for my phone to make magnetic contact with the smaller dock

I will say that i bought a magnetic dock ready phone case with circular puck like piece of metal built into the back and it worked but would fall off when i hit large bumps or turned tightly

The adhesive rectangular metal cards might work well on a smoother case but they didnt last long stick wise on my textured case

It does come with two different sized metalswith adhesive that youll attach to your phone in case youre unfamiliar with these products

The magnet is so thin that it isn’t very noticeable

The only thing i would say before you buy this is just look at where your cd slot is and make sure that the phone will not block anything important
